Must be experienced with trucks and heavy equipment.
Does not need to be a mechanic, but be mechanical.
Work with management to the following.
- Dispatch workers.
- Keep yard and shop in order, organized.
- Prepare crews for following day.
- Work with drivers on pre trip inspections for trucks.
- Organize priority of repairs, maintenance.
- Be able to load trucks with materials with fork lift and loaders.
- Learn to use equipment to make re heat cold asphalt with equipment.
Part of the job with the asphalt is for a new division of the company. The success of this division will be spearheaded by this position and organizational skills are important. this will end up being about a 10 hour day, 5 days a week and some Saturdays. It will be a salaried position with bonus on the success of the new division along with streamlining our current processes. Any work when required on a weekend would be overtime on top of salary.
Other duties.
-Run safety meetings weekly with field employees. (we will have you train with our insurance company as well)
-Handle on boarding with office of new hires.
-Make preliminary calls to new applicants.
