Gasket Guy of Hampton Roads is looking for a motivated and meticulous Gasket Tech to get in on the ground floor of a fast growing local business. Background in any hands on type position is preferred. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Pay is piece work so you control how much you make per hour. The faster you can get the job done in a detailed and problem free manner, the sooner you are done for the day! Currently we are looking for approximately 22-30 hours of work per week, with growth expected. You will average in the $18 to $23 per hour range depending on your speed. Hours typically run between 7:30am - noon and 2:00pm - 4:30pm to work around the flow of the customers business. Morning hours at least three days per week will be required. My name is Bo Burgis and I founded Gasket Guy of Hampton Roads in 2015. I left the restaurant world after 18 years to provide a service which I felt was severely lacking in our area. We primarily install refrigeration gaskets on commercial kitchen equipment in restaurants and other food service facilities. We provide faster, better and less expensive service than our competitors. Growth has been strong and I would like an employee that is looking to grow with the business. Our corporate partners include Outback, Chili's, Applebee's, Papa John's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza Hut, Ruth's Chris,Taco Bell and KFC among many others. We are located in Virginia Beach and we cover all of the Hampton Roads area and some areas further out including Williamsburg, Gloucester, Smithfield and Franklin. Responsibilities and Duties: *Install refrigeration gaskets on commercial equipment. *Perform light hardware installations. Example: hinge replacement, strip curtain installation, cutting board installation. *Perform light complimentary maintenance as needed. Examples: tightening screws on hinges and adjusting misaligned gaskets. *Leave the job site cleaner than you found it. *Provide excellent customer service with a smile. Requirements for the position will be as follows: *Reliable Transportation. You will be doing a lot of driving so a vehicle in good operating condition is a must. *A vehicle with above average storage space. Truck, van or SUV preferred. A large trunk with a pass thru is the minimum. *Full Coverage Automobile Insurance. A copy of your up to date policy will be required at the time of the interview. *A good driving record. An up to date copy from the DMV will be required at the time of the interview. *You must provide your own tools. A cordless 18v drill or better and mostly common items. A list of necessary tools will be provided. *A background in a trade is preferable. *A positive attitude is a must.
