Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time The Maintenance Mechanic will assure that all Repair and Maintenance activities are conducted in a Safe, Timely Responsible and Environmentally Sound manner for Plant Equipment and Truck Repairs. Primary Responsibilities: • Maintain and repair food production/packaging machines and sanitation equipment. • Oversee/Facilitate Maintenance and repairs to Company Fleet of Vehicles. • Assemble, disassemble and install mechanical equipment. • Monitor refrigeration equipment. • Support production supervisors to troubleshoot problems and enhance production, quality and safety. • Conduct regular inspection of facility/plant equipment to determine repairs/maintenance issues. • Conduct regular inspection of trucks to determine repairs/maintenance issues. • Responsible for the repairs of all plant equipment & building facilities. • Knowledge and ability to rebuild mechanical pumps and mixers a plus. • Responds to all maintenance related issues and work orders. • Perform duties as required for preventive maintenance. • Function as a team member in a demanding manufacturing environment. • Ability to analyze and respond appropriately to emergency situations. • Ability to organize, prioritize and stay on task is a must. Requirements: • 3-5 years of maintenance experience (preferred) • Facility repair and maintenance experience. • Ability to troubleshoot, operate and make repairs on plant equipment. • Knowledge of packaging equipment and procedures. • Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, Truck repair, machinery, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. • Knowledgeable and/or experienced with preventative maintenance & safety procedures/programs • Familiar with plant refrigeration is a plus. • Ability to read and understand manual’s, charts and machine settings. • Good problem solving and decision making skills • Basic computer skills • Must be well organized, self directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Must have the ability to multitask • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Practice safe work habits Must be able to perform those physical activities associated with Plant packaging activities, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
