WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Over the President's Day weekend, Woodbridge recorded its lowest number of coronavirus cases since the first week of November, according to Mayor John McCormac.
Woodbridge had 106 new cases of coronavirus over the last four days with 26 on Friday, 18 on both Saturday and Sunday and 44 on Monday.
"There apparently were some glitches and delays with labs reporting results over the weekend and experts also say that people are focusing on the vaccine now more than testing," said McCormac. "We do not know how many tests were administered in Woodbridge though that would be good to know but the bottom line is that less people are getting sick than at any time in the last 10 weeks so that is great news."
An 83-year-old Woodbridge woman who had coronavirus did pass away over the weekend, however, said McCormac.
