Bookkeeper/Accountant – Part Time
We are a family owned, small commercial real estate firm with four properties in Westport CT. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to be responsible for accounts payable, bank account reconciliation, intercompany processing, payroll and other tax processing as well as other duties as requested by management.
Responsibilities
Processing vendor payments and posting to QuickBooks.
Reconciling up to 10 bank accounts for review by Company owner.
Preparing a monthly intercompany worksheet detailing due to/due from for each company and processing payments for all.
Processing bi-weekly payroll tax payments into Federal and State of CT websites.
Processing other Federal and State of CT tax payments as directed by external accountant.
Generating and recording mortgage and swap payments for all properties.
Skills
Proven working experience with Accounts Payable function
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
Proficiency in English and in MS Word and Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
