NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Update: As of 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, the Rt. 1 north to Rt. 18 North ramp is now open, said New Brunswick Police. A blown transformer has shut down the Rt. 1 ramp onto Rt. 18 north in New Brunswick as of 11 a.m. Tuesday. The ramp connecting Rt. 1 north to Rt. 18 north is closed due to a power outage caused by a blown transformer, announced New Brunswick police at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Follow officer directions.
