Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Under direction of management, develops, implements, participates, monitors, evaluates, and supervises maintenance of facility which include buildings, equipment, maintaining campsites and grounds, including off site RV storage properties; ensures that facility maintained in a safe and compliant condition. Proficient skills in repair of plumbing, electrical, utility systems, carpentry, including building repair and maintenance, hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery. • Oversees and supervises the activities of subordinate staff; hires, assigns, trains, directs, schedules, and monitors staff duties; evaluates employee performance and initiates disciplinary actions when needed. • Responsible for the appropriate training of employees in assigned areas of responsibility. Plans and conducts in-service training programs; monitors status of required licenses and certifications; structures the evaluation and professional development of staff to ensure a high performing team. • Directs workers in operating backhoe, forklift, street sweeper, utility vehicles, and company trucks. • Oversees and coordinates landscaping and arborist contract services. • Performs safety inspections of facility and ensures that safe work methods and safety precautions are observed; utilizes appropriate safety equipment as it relates to working conditions, environment, hazardous chemicals or conditions. • Plans, schedules, prioritizes, and may assist with maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction projects; makes recommendations on planning, development, and implementation of maintenance related projects. • Works collaboratively with other departments; confers regularly with management. • Adheres to facility maintenance budget and expenditures; monitors and tracks expenditures; monitors inventory and purchases authorized supplies and equipment. • Maintains work schedules and appraising employee performance. Must have a valid drivers license and driving record acceptable to Company’s insurance carrier. Must be able to lift 50 pounds Education – Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
