SAN RAMON VALLEY, CA — Six firefighter-paramedics with the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District lent a helping hand in some of the California regions hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic.
Pairs of SRVFPD members headed to Inglewood in the Los Angeles Area, and Bakersfield and Stockton in the Central Valley. Los Angeles County and the San Joaquin Valley have been considered the epicenters of the coronavirus outbreak in California.
They worked with critically ill COVID-19 patients for at least two weeks, the fire department said.
The experience, firefighters said, was busy but rewarding.
