UPDATED, 11:13 a.m.: All available appointments at the Castle Shannon clinic have been filled, according to Allegheny County officials. PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County will open its 211 line for coronavirus vaccine appointments beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The appointments are for people 65 and older and only for the clinic in the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department banquet hall. Appointments are strictly for those in that age group who have no internet access or have difficulty navigating the online registration system. Callers should expect long wait times, as the registration process can take as long as 20 minutes. Appointments at the county's Castle Shannon and Monroeville clinics are required. No walk-ins are allowed and those without appointments will be turned away, as will those who are not 65 and over, regardless of appointment.
