Description

BURNSVILLE, MN—A city-led project to reconstruct the thru-stop intersection of the I-35W Southbound Ramp and Cliff Road West is set to begin in Fall 2021, Burnsville city officials said. This $6.5 million project will provide improved access to the industrial area adjacent to the I-35W corridor, and will improve existing sight lines and speed reduction for vehicles exiting the freeway. The project, which is headed by Dakota County and MnDOT, is set to be completed in Fall 2022. The city of Burnsville received $3 million in funding for the project from federal and state grants. The remainder of the funding will come from the city and Dakota County. A virtual open house for the project is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday. Residents can also submit questions and comments prior to the meeting.
