FRANKFORT, IL — Nearly 7 inches of snow fell in Frankfort after a snowstorm Monday, according to a snowfall total report given at 8 a.m. Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, some areas saw over a foot of snow with Midway Airport receiving the highest amount with 17.7 inches of snow. The wintry weather also forced some school districts to close buildings. Lincoln-Way D210 had a remote learning day, while District 157-C was completely closed for a snow day. Homewood Disposal also delayed services on Tuesday. The area could get more snow in the coming days, with light snow possible Wednesday night and snow most likely near the lake on Thursday. Friday and Saturday are expected to be partly sunny with highs in the low 20s.
