FRANKFORT, IL — Nearly 7 inches of snow fell in Frankfort after a snowstorm Monday, according to a snowfall total report given at 8 a.m. Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, some areas saw over a foot of snow with Midway Airport receiving the highest amount with 17.7 inches of snow. The wintry weather also forced some school districts to close buildings. Lincoln-Way D210 had a remote learning day, while District 157-C was completely closed for a snow day. Homewood Disposal also delayed services on Tuesday.
