Farm Job Description: Oyster farm seeking crew-members. This job necessitates working outside all day in all types of weather. Looking for positive, reliable, motivated, detail-oriented people to be part of our team. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to lift 50+ lbs, must be able to swim. We are not expecting you to be experienced in oyster farming, but you do need to be willing to learn new skills. A typical day involves taking the boat out to the farm and manually cranking lines of oysters up to sort through, process, and harvest. New hires will be primarily doing manual labor initially, but within a short time, with experience, you will be involved in other aspects of the job. For example driving the boat, handling seedling oyster, water sampling, packing and shipping mail-orders, wet storage facility maintenance. watch this video for a better picture of what we do.
