2 Domestic Incidents In Elmhurst: Police

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police responded to a couple of domestic disturbances in the last few days. Here is information from the police reports: Joel Jexie, 23, of Elmhurst, was arrested at 2 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of West Crockett on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, the victim told police that Jexie struck her in the head with an unknown object. Both the victim and suspect suffered injuries in the altercation. A woman told police that when she tried to get out of her car about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the suspect closed her car door against her foot. The suspect said nothing physical happened. Because there were no visible injuries and conflicting accounts of the incident, no arrests were made. The incident happened in the 500 block of North West Avenue.
