UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The three Upper West Side ZIP codes have some of the highest rates of residents fully and partially vaccinated against the coronavirus in New York City, according to data released by the city on Tuesday. Only the six ZIP codes on the Upper East Side have higher rates of fully vaccinated residents in Manhattan than those living on the Upper West Side. Here's the data for the 10023, 10024, and 10025 ZIP codes. 10025 ZIP code Adults partially vaccinated: 7,955Percentage of adults partially vaccinated: 10 percentAdults fully vaccinated: 7,288Percentage of adults fully vaccinated: 9 percentNeighborhood adult population: 78,358 10024 ZIP code Adults partially vaccinated: 5,294Percentage of adults partially vaccinated: 11 percentAdults fully vaccinated: 5,235Percentage of adults fully vaccinated: 11 percentNeighborhood adult population: 48,892 10023 ZIP code Adults partially vaccinated: 5,251Percentage of adults partially vaccinated: 10 percentAdults fully vaccinated: 5,202Percentage of adults fully vaccinated: 10 percentNeighborhood adult population: 53,514The data did not include any information about the age or race of vaccinated New Yorkers. The Upper West Side Zip codes, along with those on the Upper East Side, were the only areas in Manhattan that saw the percentage of adults vaccinated reach 10 percent. The Upper East Side ZIP code 10021 had the highest fully vaccinated rate in the borough at 16 percent. However, the city's highest vaccination rates were seen in Douglaston, Queens, and City Island, Bronx — where more than 20 percent of adult residents have got the shot. Nearly all of the UWS residents who have gotten vaccinated have received both shots, the data shows. Additionally, the highest Manhattan COVID-19 infection rates by ZIP codes do not correspond with the highest vaccination rates. The Upper West Side and Upper East Side ZIP codes all have seven-day positive rates of under 3 percent, according to the latest data from the city. Whereas COVID-19 positive rates in many Harlem and Washington Heights ZIP codes are currently over 7 percent, but vaccination rates sit between 4 and 6 percent. Check out the full dataset below:
