**PLEASE EMAIL RESUMES** Laborer/ Carpenter General Responsibilities and Activities: Many of our projects are scale wage jobs. We are not looking for a trainee. We are looking for an individual who has the knowledge and ability to be a productive member of our team on their first day on a new job site. • Must consistently produce quality workmanship as judged by Company standards as well as those set forth by Client/Customer Inspections. • Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day. • Must possess a current valid NM driver’s license in order to operate any company vehicles. • Must be willing to travel to any and all job sites without exception, including, if necessary, time away from home. • Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies. • Must pass drug screening. • Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, and walk/work in rough terrain in accessing equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite assignments while completing job assignments. • Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company. Specific Skills: • It is a plus to provide tools required for this position. • Must be proficient in the use of drills, skill saws, hammer drills, etc. • Push a wheelbarrow full of concrete, bricks, etc. • Lift and carry forms, lumber, tools, and numerous other materials and tools. • Carry, place and tie reinforcing steel. • Assist excavation or backfill activities with the use of a pick and shovel. • Place, vibrate and learn to finish concrete. • Load and unload trucks. • Proficient in the use of a cutting torch. • Setting wood and steel form systems used by the company. • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures. • Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials. • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels. • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. • Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools. • Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. • Cleans up worksite debris. • Perform all of the above functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury or equipment damage. Work Hours: • Monday thru Friday (typical) • Eight (8) hours a day, plus overtime, if necessary. • Saturday and Sundays if necessary. Work Environment: Job sites are located in New Mexico. Sites, because they are not shielded from the weather, can include excessive heat, cold, wind, rain and other weather related aspects. At times, work will be conducted on uneven terrain, at heights and near/over water.
