POSITION SUMMARY: Manufacturing facility in Fresno, CA, is seeking Maintenance Mechanics who will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all equipment including repair and preventative maintenance in a plant that produces aluminum foil products and plastic containers for consumer and food service clients. JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 5 years journeyman level experience working in industrial electrical/mechanical field. - Complete knowledge of AC motors/controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. - Working knowledge of DC motors and controls. - Ability to provide outstanding Safety, Performance and Attendance. - Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required. - Willingness to rotate through on-call schedule. - Must be able to safely operate forklifts and man lifts as required. - 2 years of completed technical school can be substituted for 2 years of journeyman experience. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: - Working knowledge of AC & DC motors and drives systems. - Ability to isolate electronic problems. - Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical heater control systems - Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. - Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production equipment. - Completes general repairs to buildings and structures as required. - Ability to troubleshoot, repair and recommend improvements to facility equipment (vacuum systems, compressed air systems, cooling tower systems and material handling systems). - Ability to learn tool changes and machine setups on production and packaging equipment. - Working knowledge of PLC’s and the equipment they are servicing or controlling. - Effectively communicate information to other Team Members at shift change and to Maintenance Leadership using Work order documents or log book. - Ability to learn & follow written procedures as they relate to work orders, PM schedules, and Process Safety Management maintenance procedures with minimal follow-up from supervision. - Possess a working knowledge of multi meters, amp meters and various test equipment is helpful. - Understand and follow safe work rules in regards to cutting and welding, operating shop equipment and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs. - Must learn & follow all department and plant policies and procedures. WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE: - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - 24 hour operation.
