Meritus Property Group seeks a reliable maintenance technician to join our team. Will be performing routine maintenance at multiple commercial and residential properties. Tasks include interior and exterior building repairs, painting, HVAC maintenance, grounds, clean up, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in developing maintenance skills at unique buildings in Portland. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: • Experience in building maintenance preferred (apts or commercial) • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance • Reliable vehicle - pick-up truck a plus • Must have own hand tools • Interest in learning and expanding skills • On call duties shared with maintenance team • Ability to participate in training • Must be able to lift 75 pounds. • Able to scale a ladder 20’ in height • Must be able to process required inspection forms and maintenance schedule reports • Must be legally able to work in the United States Job duties: • Routine exterior and interior cleaning and repair to maintain property appearance to owner standards. Includes: Painting, minor plumbing and electrical, minor grounds keeping, wall repair, minor door/window repair, minor HVAC maintenance, gutter/roof cleaning, pressure washing, snow/ice removal, porter service, etc. • Contacting and working with tenants • Scheduling and working with vendors • Monthly inspections of properties to ensure upkeep • Travel from building to building to complete work orders minimal supervision • Demonstrate good customer service skills • Demonstrate excellent follow through and time management • Perform other duties as required We are an established real estate company with a history of development, acquiring and managing of commercial and mixed use buildings.
