We are Kunst. A construction, development and apartment team in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. We are looking to hire you to be a skilled lead worker to work alongside a current team of 5 people. We own properties for 10+ years and care about quality and longevity. We are property owner, developer and general contractor. No annoying bidding process or crappy customers. We will reach 100 apartments developed by 2021. The pay is $15 per hour for full-time work based on experience, with opportunities for profit share and additional pay based on performance. Paid vacation included. Must have 2+ years experience in construction in specific trades. The work: 90% - physically working on our under-renovation buildings. Framing walls, roofing, demolition, additions, finish carpentry, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. 5% - sourcing materials, working with sub-contractors, guiding construction teams, light project management. 5% - apartment maintenance/turns and miscellaneous company tasks. Personal requirements: Able to work daily starting ASAP. We are flexible with vacation and time off as long as it's communicated. Able to text and correspond by email. You have full-time use of a vehicle and drivers license to move materials/supplies. Verbal skills to interact with sub-contractors, tenants and partners. Ability to read and follow architectural plans. Ability to work independently with little direct constant oversight. Must be able to email, text, call, use the internet. Focus trades: Rough carpentry, framing, structural stabilization, additions, installing new stairs Finish carpentry, trim, custom millwork, setting cabinets, installing doors Roofing including flashing, downspouts, gutters, siding Work may also include less-skilled tasks like fire blocking, insulation, general cleaning. Whatever is needed to get things done. We subcontract HVAC, plumbing, electric, masonry so those skills/experience not required. I look forward to hearing from you.
