Safety Assistant - Job Elements: • Available 24/7 for workplace injuries this includes weekends and national holidays (if applicable) • Plan and implement health and safety guidelines, policies and programs • Be able to follow detailed instructions, willing to learn from mistakes • Advise and lead employees/staff in various safety related topics • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions • Ability of define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision • Conduct daily, bi-weekly and monthly jobsite inspections in person • Be able to conduct corrective actions to employees and procedures • Schedule weekly, bi-weekly and monthly workplace tailgate trainings in person • Adhere to all rules and regulations • Must be able to have confidentiality within company and clients • Conduct risk assessments • Be familiar with PPE, have general knowledge of PPE requirements and enforce discipline actions • Be able to wear safety steel-toe boots when necessary due to the job demand requirements • Prepare, check and cover safety tailgate trainings depending on the client or industry • Keep proficient track of inventory • Keep accurate track of trainings and follow-ups • Be able to manage schedules • Keep track or work with clients regarding special safety request and programs • Provide a weekly progress report at end of the week • Demonstrate excellent internal and external communication skills • Be able to make changes to your current schedule with minimum notice or no notice Desirable candidate must have resume ready, must understand English/Spanish fluently, have transportation and open availability schedule.
