Combining a passion for landscape architecture, horticultural knowledge and field experience, our staff helps to create beautiful gardens and outdoor living spaces. CMLA is a small, family-oriented company focused on providing our clients with the highest level of design, workmanship, and customer service. We are currently looking for the right gardener to join our Garden Design & Maintenance team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in estate gardening, landscaping, or garden design. An understanding of plant and pest identification, hand-pruning, and proper horticultural practices is desired. Experience or willingness to learn garden design and seasonal flower installation is a must. JOB DUTIES: Hand-pruning shrubs, trees, and vines Perennial garden maintenance including deadheading, staking, supplementing plant material, weeding, cutting back spent plants, fertilizing, and mulching Designing, planting, and maintaining container gardens Pest and disease management Building relationships with clients JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor or Associate degree in Horticulture or equivalent work experience Ability to follow direction and be a team player Good time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met Positive attitude and strong work ethic Willingness to maintain a clean and safe work environment Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and work in varying weather conditions Proficient in English and Spanish is a plus COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Competitive wages and performance-based bonuses Paid holidays and paid time off
