Hi. Thank you for reading my ad. I'm looking for a creative recording engineer. You must have your own studio, with several free hours per month. Here's my situation: I am a creative songwriter and composer. I tend to be highly productive, creating the equivalent of one new song or musical composition per day when I'm not otherwise engaged. My weakness is getting things done, getting them finished. For example, I might write a song that sounds good at 12 minutes in length, but I really need to get it edited down to 3 to 4 minutes in length, leaving in all the good parts and taking out the bad. I work in.wav files, so I can send you my tracks in that format. Then you chop 'em up, mix 'em any way you like, make 'em sound good. You gotta have a love for the basic song to do this. You gotta have an instinctive feel for what's commercial, and what should be left on "the cutting room floor" or never even messed with in the first place. I need you to be honest with me. I'm not easily insulted because I know I have a natural gift for songwriting and composition, coupled with years of experience. I just don't have the patience to edit all of my songs. I don't want you to change my compositions -- just improve them by editing them, and focusing on the sound. I need radio-ready demos out the door. If you want to take my basic ideas and re-work them, that's fine too. I would be willing to work out a copyright agreement with you in that case. I belong to BMI. My goal is to develop a catalogue of brand new originals which I can publish and market worldwide. My genres range from contemporary jazz and rock to country and blues. In other words, demonstrate to me what you did for other songwriters. Thank you!
