I'm a bass player that just started learning to produce music, but I've been writing and playing music for years. I've had the idea for a ska band called the Swankin' Skadhus for a while now, with much more of an interest in playing music like the Skatalites, King Tubby, The Upsetters and the Specials than Reel Big Fish, Catch 22 or any of that third wave nonsense. Let me know if you want to write and/or play some brass and sax heavy ska and reggae. I can make up basslines and chord changes all day, but don't have experience writing horn parts. Also hit me up if you play drums, keys or guitar and are interested. I'd like to come up with a few tunes to start with, but if enough folks are interested we could pick some covers and meet up to play them before having original songs to play.
