Gannon Golf Club is a semi-private 18 hole golf course located on the outskirts of the Lynn Woods Reservation. The golf course averages 45,000 rounds a year and requires a strong level of commitment to maintain optimum playing conditions throughout the season. Over the past four years we have implemented phase I and II of our Master Plan under Golf Course Architect Mark Mungeam. These improvements include the recontouring of two greens, green surround renovations, five tee complex renovations and expansive cart path work. We are currently in the process of implementing the installation of a new irrigation system in the next 12-18 months. We have an open opportunity for an assistant/foreman to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity for the right applicant to gain valuable experience in all areas of golf course maintenance. These include staff management, course setup, monitoring soil moisture, hand watering, irrigation operation, maintenance and repair, chemical and fertilizer applications and calibration of application equipment. The golf season at Gannon typically runs from late march until snow cover. This is a full time year round position with a more relaxed schedule in the off season. 2-3 years of golf course maintenance and/or landscape experience preferred. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
