The Milton Theatre Quayside features a Beer Garden serving Beer, Wine, and Slushie Spiked Drinks. Milton Theatre Food Stall featuring: Kobe Beef Hot Dogs, Jalapeno/Cheese Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Fresh Baked Cookies & Brownies, Soft Drinks, Water. Rain Contingency: Planned Quayside activities will be moved inside the Milton Theatre with social distancing. About Musical Theatre LabThe brand-new “Musical Theatre Lab” is an immersive, hands-on exploration into stage performance and production open to all high-school students. A rigorous yet enjoyable combination of classes and rehearsals, provide students with a challenging and inspiring learning environment in 2-hour classes for 10 weeks. Working with professional theatre practitioners, students receive extraordinary training in a collaborative and supportive environment. Students will explore musical theatre techniques from the perspective of an actor, singer, and dancer. Activities include acting, singing, dance classes, choreography, staging, as well as master classes in vocal training, audition preparation, and industry navigation. Constructive feedback will be given to students at the end of each session. We are excited to have our first program where the show is completely student-directed, providing students an outlet where they can create something on their own with the guidance of our Education Director and master class guest artists. The student directors will be charged with choosing show material, analyzing it, developing a concept, and then successfully presenting it at the end of the season. The program culminates with a showcase presentation in which students perform the material they have been working on in class with their peers MILTON THEATRE QUAYSIDEA brand new dynamic “outdoor events” space next to the historic Milton Theatre along the Broadkill River that is set to influence the look and feel of downtown Milton! Called the “Milton Theatre Quayside” (pronounced as kee-side), the space will add to a growing list of public areas where people can enjoy outdoor performances and various events. “Quay” has been incorporated in the name (which means, “a platform lying alongside water for loading and unloading ships”) as a tribute to the town’s shipbuilding history.
