Some scams are just affronts to common sense. Do NOT give a deposit to "hold" an animal until it is old enough to be adopted. They have your money; you don't have your pet. Do NOT pay hundreds of dollars for an animal that is supposedly "registered." Papers can be faked. Do not pay hundreds of dollars, period. Pima Animal Care Center only charges $50 for puppies and kittens, plus the $17 license. (These animals have been spayed/neutered and microchipped, and have their shots - all included!) CL rules say "no animal sales or breeding -- rehoming with small adoption fee is ok." Be suspicious of any post that does not adhere to the rules.
