My IDEAS to solve the homeless problem

Description

What we are seeing in large cities is the failure of city administrators to carry out their duties to protect the public health. Municipal corporations were all about providing SERVICES to the public. With the HOMELESS, the cities have FAILED to provide needed SANITATION. This has led to rioting and destruction of property. Here in the Northwest, the climate in most areas is mild enough for the homeless to camp in tents most of the year. However without help in the form of FLUSHING TOILETS, SHOWERS and laundry services there WILL BE DISCONTENT. When the homeless go without proper sanitation, the diseases they may contract can be spread to the general public. It is the duty of cities to protect public health. Many large cities have been taking grant money to care for the homeless. By accepting that money, they have accepted the responsibility. It is NOW up to the cities to make this right. The cities need to pony up some large parcels of their land and build sanitation facilities for tenting and RV parking. By providing enough of these facilities, the homeless would be encouraged to settle in areas where they would leave the other residents of the cities alone. But I would encourage the cities to take this a step further. To set up REHAB centers at those camps where the homeless can be treated for drug and alcohol addiction. If their land parcels had access to fishing, swimming, canoeing and other outdoor activities, the rehab activity would be enhanced. Things need to be done better, not just with more money. The STATES could get in on the fix and give the cities a push. thanks, Bill.
