A night of Texas soul/blues with Lucas Johnson and Chris Castaneda
Enjoy an evening of Texas Soul & Blues from Lucas Johnson and Chris Castaneda.
Lucas Johnson is an upcoming singer/songwriter known for bluesy sound. asked to step onstage with world class musicians such as Charlie Daniels; John Arthur Martinez; (Western Swing Hall of Famer) William "BB" Morse; "Godfather of Austin Blues" WC Clark; Ty Grimes; AJ Vallejo; Birdlegg; Matt Hubbard; Harold McMillan; Oscar Ornelas; Louis Long; Boomer Castleman; Luis Coutinho; Ru Coleman; and several others. Although Lucas is known for his guitar skills, he is also an extraordinary violin/fiddle player who played with the Lake Travis Fiddlers from the years 2009-2016. Lucas' sound can only be described as an eclectic blues/rock tone rich with hints of funk, jazz, classic R&B, and psychedelic overlaying trails that he seamlessly navigates through like the "OLD SOUL" that he is.
Chris Castaneda plays with an intensity that can only be described as “Electrified”. Always hard at work with his national touring band Pride and Joy and The Castaneda Project, Chris still finds time to work on his solo projects and gig with Grammy Award Winning Artists weekly. Chris’ new project pulls from all his influences and has resulted in a genre defying sound we call Texas Soul.
