I, a 20something y/o guy, was cycling on a blue mountain bike going east on the Bird Road/SW 40th street westbound sidewalk. I am tall and was wearing an orange shirt, midnight blue shorts, sunglasses, and a helmet. you, a presumably 20something y/o woman, were in the passenger seat of a car with an animal and someone else. you were facing south on a residential street, waiting to turn onto bird or to continue driving south when I crossed in front of you. I can't remember the exact crossroads but it was probably within a 10 block radius of the palmetto, by AD Barnes Park. I approached the intersection, we exchanged looks, and I continued pedaling. ordinarily a fleeting, mundane interaction but I couldn't stop thinking about that moment for the rest of my ride. maybe because you look like someone I knew, or maybe because the dancehall mix I was listening to had me in my feelings. reply with a description of the car you were in, the animal in the car with you, and the sex of the person you were with (assuming they're cis) if you wish we could have looked at each other for a bit longer.
