POINT PLEASANT BORO – Point Pleasant Boro will determine by Tuesday how to revise the school district's policy of attendance at sports functions. Superintendent Vincent Smith noted that Gov. Murphy announced last week a change to the number of attendees that will be permitted at all district interscholastic events. In light of this modification, Point Pleasant School administrators will conduct a thorough review of the directive issued by the governor over the weekend and revise, where appropriate, thedistrict's current policy, Smith said. The policy will address all proper safety protocols that will remain in continued compliance with the Department of Health's guidelines. The revised plan will be shared with the district on Tuesday, Feb. 16th "The health and safety of the Point Pleasant Schools and community continue to be our top priority," Smith said. "Your support in this matter is needed and greatly appreciated." Murphy announced on Friday that he's allowing spectators at school sporting events amid other reopenings he's announced as the state continues to endure the COVID-19 crisis. Read more: Gov.
