OAK LAWN, IL — We don't know if Joey and Michael Wos' intention was to create a snowman that resembled the statue in front of village hall, but this debonair Sasquatch reminds us a lot of the late, great mayor of Oak Lawn — Ernie Kolb.
Joey, 12, and his 8-year-old kid brother Michael worked on their snowman over the weekend. Their mom, Sandy Wos, sent us this photo of her sons' version of a "Snow MAN" after we ran Sean O'Shea's Viking long boat.
When we asked Sandy if the boys' snow man was meant to resemble Ernie Kolb, she replied: "OMG, I forgot all about the statue."
The Kos brothers' snowman looks ready for Valentine's Day, with a flower in his lapel, a bouquet of roses in one hand and a travel mug of coffee in the other.
You can see this wonder at 9325 S. Meade Ave., Oak Lawn.
