Area students named to Carthage College's Fall 2020 Dean's List More than 1,000 students have been named to the Carthage College dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. Dean's list honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester. Dean's list honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester. Trevor Lewis named to the Dean's List at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania Trevor Lewis, Health Science PT from Frankfort, was named to the Dean's List at Saint Francis University. Lewis was among more than 750 students who earned a spot on one of the honors lists for the fall 2020 semester. Students who receive an honors distinction must have full-time status and attain a quality point average of 4.000 (President's) or 3.500 (Dean's) on 12 or more credits during a single semester, with no continuing or incomplete grades. Nearly 6,800 Huskers named to fall Deans' List Nearly 6,800 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans' List for the fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year. Qualification for the Deans' List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. All qualifying grade-point averages are based on a four-point scale and a minimum number of graded semester hours. Students can be on the Deans' List for more than one college. Frankfort's Mitchell Earns Spot on 2021 UW-Whitewater Men's Tennis Roster Ryan Mitchell, of Frankfort, and graduate of Lincoln-Way East High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team during the 2021 season. Mitchell, a junior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in marketing. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis teams begin their 2021 regular season at Lake Geneva Tennis, returning to competition following a nearly year-long layoff for both teams. Attendance at indoor meets will be limited to participating student-athletes and coaches as well as a limited number of staff. No spectators will be permitted. Alex Gray and Mitchell, who will serve as captains in 2020-21, return with the most experience in the lineup. The University of Tampa Honors Dean's List Students for the Fall 2020 Semester The University of Tampa has honored 1,762 students who were named to the dean's list for the Fall 2020 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list. Students include: Madison Kasala of Frankfort, sophomore, majoring in NursingAlexa Mikrut of Frankfort, junior, majoring in CybersecurityHannah Scalone, of New Lenox, junior, majoring in Education-Elementary (K-6)Lindsay Graham, of Homer Glen, junior, majoring in Allied Health Sebastian Kopec has qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean's List at Seton Hall Sebastian Kopec of New Lenox, has qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean's List. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than "C", qualify for the Dean's List. Morgan Maca of New Lenox earns Dean's List honors at Edinboro University Morgan Rayna Maca of New Lenox, was named to the Dean's List at Edinboro University for the fall 2020 semester. In order to attain this highly regarded academic honor, students must maintain a quality point average of 3.4 or higher, complete a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit and receive no grade lower than a C in any course. Maca, whose major is Fine Arts-Applied Media Arts, was among nearly 1,200 students named to the fall 2020 Dean's List. Provided by Orr Fellowship Rachel Martin named Orr Fellow Rachel Martin of Homer Glen is one of just six percent of top-tier college seniors selected to join Orr Fellowship. Orr Fellowship, one of Indiana's most celebrated nonprofit talent programs, is a two-year post-graduate program that places high-achieving college seniors from across the Midwest in full-time, paid positions at dynamic companies and organizations in Indianapolis. Martin will join Orr Fellowship's 20th and largest cohort of Fellows to date. From August to October, college seniors from across the Midwest were recruited to Orr. Of the nearly 1,300 applicants, just 100 were invited to Orr Fellowship's Finalist Day held in November. Of those 100, 79 individuals received job offer calls. Martin and other Fellows were hired by 46 partner companies this year that include IU Health, Kinney Group, KSM Consulting, Lev, Roche Diagnostics, and Terminus. There were 9 first-time partner companies also welcomed to the Orr Network.
