Equal but Different: Men, Women and the Gospel
You are invited to an exclusive Women in Leadership session. Listen to Mimi Haddad, CEO of the Center for Biblical Equality International (CBE), as she discusses gender and justice.
Equal but Different: Men, Women and the Gospel
Throughout history, the Church has taught three views on gender:
Male-leadership (unequal in being, unequal in function)Shared leadership between men and women (equal in being, equal in function)Complementarianism (equal in being, unequal in role) In this conversation, we will reflect on examples of each within culture's teachings as we seek Scripture's guidance. We will consider how each position developed throughout history, examine the assumptions regarding the value and dignity of women that underlie each position, and explore the teaching of Scripture as it supports gender difference and equality of being and role for both men and women.
