Description

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights Libraries will reopen to the public on Tuesday. All areas of the libraries will be reopened, including the children's and teen sections. Guests can browse computers, fax and copy documents and check out materials. However, guests will need to use their library card to reserve a computer, a process which can be completed online before visiting a branch. The libraries will also have expanded hours: Sunday — 1 p.m. -5 p.m. Monday — Closed Tuesday — 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday — 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday — 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday — 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday — 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Guests will have to follow certain health and safety guidelines to get into the libraries, including: wearing masks that cover both the nose and mouth and remaining social distant from other guests. There are no exceptions for either rule, library system officials said. Food and drink have also been banned from the libraries because guests must keep their masks on at all times. All tables and chairs have been removed from branches, to discourage guests from lingering in groups. Study and meeting rooms are not yet open to the public. Play areas for kids will also remain closed. Curbside pick-up of materials will still be available on request.
