WORCESTER, MA — A vigil took place in Worcester Sunday night to mourn the three lives lost in a fire there on Friday. Dozens stood in the cold chanting "Adams strong!" to show support for the Adams family.
Flames destroyed a triple-decker on Jacques Avenue. Woodrow Adams Jr. said he lost his father, his grandmother, and his uncle in the blaze. Eighty-five-year-old Edna Williams and her 61-year-old son, Gerald "Jerry" Prince didn't make it out alive, officials said. Woodrow Adams Sr., 71, died at a hospital on Saturday after suffering injuries from jumping out of a window to escape the fire.
