Personal: We are looking for a fun, energetic and trustworthy animal lover to join our team.  The Ideal Candidate: Will be honest, trustworthy, dependable and dedicated. Will have an exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Will be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage several aspects of running a small farm. Will be able to perform independently, without constant supervision. Will be flexible and able to work as scheduled and as needed including overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays. Will be organized and able to multitask when circumstances dictate.   Will demonstrate competency to complete work in a professional and timely manner. Will have a strong desire and willingness to become an integral part of our operation.  Will be an excellent communicator with commitment to consistently and clearly update the owners on all issues regarding the property and business. Will have the desire and ability to maintain our standards for a clean and presentable business, property and dwelling, helping to ensure our beautiful 7-acre farm is running smoothly and kept in top condition at all times. Will be willing to listen, take instruction, and be able to efficiently adjust to last minute changes. Will have a background working with dogs and farm animals.  Will be comfortable working with dogs and be able to handle them in a confident manner, on and off leash.  Will be able to apply behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs at all times.  Will have reliable transportation.  Will be able to lift 50 pounds.  Job Duties include, but are not limited to:  Farm And Premises: General cleaning of buildings, maintaining grounds, upkeep and monitoring of property.  Running errands, light housekeeping, organization.  Loading and unloading supplies. Mowing lawns, trimming foliage, raking around the house, kennels and buildings, weeding, fertilizing, watering lawns, trees and plants.  Monitoring feed and water supply for farm animals. Dogs: Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all portions of the facility. Feeding and watering all dogs, closely monitoring each animal's consumption of food and water as well as elimination habits. Providing training and  conditioning exercise such as walking dogs. Dispensing medication as needed.  Safely monitoring playgroups Participating in day to day care and upkeep of our Champion show dogs, including but not limited to exercising, bathing and grooming as is necessary for their mental and physical health. Supporting dogs and handlers in the AKC show environment. Personal Assistance to Owner: TBD, as is necessary. *This is full time work that may only take a few hours a day, if time is managed well.
