Irrigation Technician wanted, $18.00 to $27.50 per hour depending on experience. Full-time/Seasonal Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm with Saturday overtime work early spring and early fall. Work independently in the great outdoors! Position specifics: Spring - irrigation turn-ons and repairs – Turn-on and activation of irrigation systems. Turn on water from the main, run through each zone of the irrigation system inspecting each head to insure proper spray of each nozzle and proper coverage. Insure system is leak free. Use head clearing tool to remove grass and dirt around head for unobscured spray. Set day, time and zone watering time of controller/clock. Repair – irrigation system repairs include; repair/replacement of system components. Must be able to solder, locate and repair system leaks both in poly and PVC pipe. Ability to repair/replace/clean valves with general knowledge valve types. Understanding of system wiring and the ability to diagnostics and repair where needed. Fall – irrigation winterization – Shut-down of irrigation systems, turning off irrigation water supply, draining water from lines and blowing out the system. Make notes of any issues repairing what can be repaired at time of system shutdown. Turn off controller/clock. MUST HAVE A VALID AND CLEAN (INSURABLE) DRIVERS LICENSE!
