Description
Hey there,
I put the frog in to get your attention. Hope you enjoyed.
We’re a band (2 people) spanning the following genre’s (Alternative rock, shoegaze, indie rock, new wave) and we’re looking for a Vocalist. Realistically we’re looking for someone who’s into collectively writing lyrics and potentially playing bass and singing. The bass parts aren’t particularly difficult and it’s not a deal breaker if you’re just interested in singing. The same goes for synth. If you’re open to playing multiple instruments, that’s great. Before going any further, the requirements are as follows:
-You’re a human between 21 and 34
-Be willing to be creative and vulnerable.
-Understand we’re introverts and fairly misanthropic.
-Have a sense of humor.
-Don’t be hard to contact.
-Don’t be a flake.
It’s so much more important that you’re genuine and easy to get along with than it is that you sing exceptionally well. My guitar player and I are close friends, our partners are close friends. It’s a shared bond and we’re all about a new homie if you’re on the same frequency.
I have a small studio at my place where we record everything and we’re currently working on 9 or 10 songs. More or less we’re writing an album and fully plan on supporting that album by playing locally once we’re out of pandemic hell.
Music-wise, maybe think Built to Spill, Swervedriver, Snail Mail/Soccer Mommy, Talking Heads, The Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr., King Krule, The Fixx, New Order, Hers, My Bloody Valentine, etc). I don't know, shit around those parameters.
If you’re interested in us individually, we’ll talk about it once you reach out.
Text me.
