Rental Yard Hand The TLC Rental Yard Hand will perform a variety of tasks with the opportunity to be trained in all aspects of running the store. This person will prepare rental orders for walk in customers and customers with a reservation. Doing so consists of loading and unloading equipment; Following direction and looking for ways to be helpful; general equipment service and maintenance; cleaning the yard and work areas. HE/SHE MUST HAVE A PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR AND APPEARANCE. Be able to work well with and communicate with the customers. Your strong work ethic, reliability, sense of urgency, attention to detail and areas that need improvement will make you an asset to our operation and will be rewarded. Tasks assigned to Yard Hand include, but are not limited to: • Prepare rental orders. • Greet customers in the yard and assist them in the loading and unloading process • Inspect all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a customer. Report any damage. • Routine repairs and maintenance of equipment upon return from rental • Wash equipment upon return. • Ensure all equipment is in good, usable condition before it goes out to a customer • Replace equipment decals when necessary • Organize and clean yard • Must be able to lift 70+ lbs on an as-needed basis to assist customers with equipment • Must be able to operate all equipment in a safety conscious manner at all times, especially when loading/unloading on/off of a trailer. • Must be willing to stay even briefly after the store closes to tie up any "loose ends." All employees will be trained to operate the "Point Of Rental" software we use for writing up rental contracts. Being able to operate computers relatively well will assist in this. Once trained the employee must work some Saturdays, possibly as the only employee for the day. Our store hours are 7:30-5 Monday-Friday. 8-5 on Saturday. Winter hours on Saturday are 8-12. Employee must be 10-15 minutes early to get set up before the store opens. We are flexible and for the right person we will work with you on a schedule full time or part time. Other Positions that could be filled will depend on your skills. A front desk receptionist who assists customers with any questions they have about equipment and takes payment for all rentals. Also a Mechanic for either small engines, hydraulics, equipment, gas, diesel, auto or trailers. Any of these skill can be utilized. The other position would be a delivery driver mostly hauling equipment on either a 20' bumper pull trailer or a 35' goose neck.
