Farm Hand Needed Full time or nearly full time Benefits available We are looking for a responsible, self motivated and dependable farm/ranch manager. Hours would generally be 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and as needed on weekends and holidays. (Hours are flexible during hot weather) Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: -feed/care for farm animals, gardens and greenhouse -check pastures daily, mostly by atv, truck or tractor. **THIS IS NOT A HORSEBACK POSITION** -feed hay, mineral or supplemental feed where needed -Ensure clean water daily -manage the processing of cattle at the chute -check, repair/maintain and build fencing and pens -some light farming/fertilizer application -Vehicle/Machinery/small engine maintenance -groundskeeping (spray weeds, shred, tree removal, pen cleaning) -load materials and organize warehouse Skills desired -basic knowledge of operating equipment (tractor, disc, brush hog, shredder, 4 wheeler, trucks, trailers, feeders, etc) -basic knowledge of cattle and other animals -basic knowledge of ranch operations -basic mechanical skills -must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 100 lbs. Experience -Must have at least 2 years cattle experience. -Must have at least 1 year ranch/ranch equipment experience. -Welding and general farm skills would be a huge plus. -Drug test required. Pay $12-$16 per hour, dependent on qualifications. Paid vacation and sick time included. 401(k) available. Does not include living space on the ranch.
