AllSouth Lightning Protection is now looking for safety minded Installers. We are the leading Lightning protection company in the Jacksonville area and we are busy busy busy. What we do: We install the air terminals (lightning rods) you see on top of buildings and their grounding systems that you don't see. We work on all types of structures but here in Jacksonville we work mostly on the many healthcare facilities our city has to offer. Training IS provided and no experience is necessary (commercial construction experience is a definite plus) A positive can-do attitude is a must. There will be problem solving. You must be able to pass a driving record check as the driving of a company vehicle is required. Any Criminal history will need to be discussed and a background check will be performed. Fall protection (harness, rope, anchor system) will need to be utilized on most jobs when the situation calls for it. BE AWARE! We work at heights and on the edge of the roof. Digging is something we do. You will get dirty. There is lifting involved and general good health is required. This work is pretty simple once you get used to it and is over all pretty laid back work. at times it may not seem like it but our job is actually pretty easy once you get used to it. It does however get very hot in the summer and we will be working on the roof or in the attic a good portion of the time. As an installer a typical day would include: Showing up to work on time (630a) Coordinating with your project manager and foreman, discussing the days tasks and goals. Loading up your truck with the necessary materials. You and your crew driving to a job and setting yourself up for production. Installing our lightning protection systems (LPS) Lunchtime Installing our LPS Cleaning up after the work and loading the truck back up. Driving back to the shop. Weekly you would ensure that our warehouse and trucks are reorganized and ready for the next week. Christmas Bonus Regular pay increases as you learn and improve. Starting is $12 per hour. Experience with LPS will yield a higher starting wage. Raises are based on performance.
