Bushwick Film studio in need of P/T (possible full time) evening shift handy person. Compensation dependent on experience Job Title: Maintenance Person Responsibilities: • Perform general maintenance and minor repairs including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, construction, painting. Automotive skills a plus. • Repair of electrical equipment (e.g. changing a plug) • Undertake light installation or carpentry • Perform Preventive Maintenance • Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow) • Identify and report status of major repair needs • Maintain repair/service log of work done Qualifications: • 2 years of Experience in general repairs and maintenance • Basic understanding of: mechanical, electrical and plumbing • Experienced in painting, plastering and carpentry • Ability to take direction and work with a team • Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary • Well organized and apt in problem solving and attention to detail • Strong communication skills (fluent in English, Spanish a plus).
