An excellent 101 course on fruit tree pruning and basic grafting. We will have two fruit trees to prune, as well as grafting stock This will be an excellent and entry level Fruit Tree Pruning and Fruit Tree Grafting class, led by Taylor Roman of Fox Haven Farms in Jefferson, MD. The harvests of fruit trees can be dramatically increased with proper pruning work, so we will learn the basics on how to prune a fruit tree effectively. The health of the tree and overall asthetics of pruning will also be discussed We will also have a large handful of Pear and Persimmon scion wood available to practice grafting onto existing fruit trees, as well as root stock of fruit trees still in pots.
