North American Rescue 3 Day Civilian Medical Course: BLS and TCCC Certifications Whether the BANG comes from a car crash, a skiing or biking accident, or something more sinister, there are two types of people. Those that freeze, panic and depend on help and those that keep calm, run towards the noise and are capable of rendering aid to themselves and others. It is a choice. Which type of person do you want to be? On March 5th through 7th, The Readiness Collective is hosting North American Rescue (NAR) to teach a custom designed Civilian Medical Course (CMC). This class has been custom designed for The Readiness Collective community and is the first time NAR has offered such a class which includes Basic Life Support (BLS) and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) national certifications. The material is being tailored to adapt knowledge and experience from combat life saving to be applicable to everyday emergencies. NAR is amongst the finest training outfits in the country that specializes in training military, law enforcement and first responders. The curriculum being offered is custom tailored to be applicable for everyday community members. The Readiness Collective is proud to be collaborating to bring the real world experience of their military Special Operations instructors to the civilian community. The training team that will deliver the course includes: Two US Army Special Forces Medics (18D) A prior Special Operations trauma Flight Nurse and Expeditionary Resuscitative Surgical Team Leader (ERST) This class is not about preparing for the zombie apocalypse or end days. This course is designed to provide individuals with the mindset and skills to be capable of being of service to self, family and community in times of need in a medical capacity. Who this class is for: Anyone who wants a baseline understanding and capability to be a first responder in a traumatic event from a hiking accident to a car crash or active shooter scenario Anyone who opts to carry a firearm Law enforcement who want obtain the TECC-LEO certification and professional first responders to up their knowledge and skills in regards to responding to traumatic events It is rare to find this caliber of training in Fairfield County. We are excited to begin to make access to subject matter expertise like North American Rescue more common locally. While this will be an intense course- the amount of skills acquired and the perspective gained will be invaluable and is manageable by anyone. No prior experience is needed.
