ANDOVER, MA — Andover school officials are looking to bring some of the youngest students to school in person more days per week, the interim superintendent said in a letter to the community Friday. Under Claudia Bach's plan, kindergarten and grade one students would attend school in person four days per week. Wednesdays would remain remote days. The draft plan will be considered by the School Committee at their Feb. 25 meeting. Officials are hoping to make the change beginning March 8. The remote Wednesdays would allow school nurses to run town vaccination clinics in the schools, Bach said. "APS is committed to continuously evaluating this plan as we move closer to the goal of in-person learning for our students," she wrote. "I look forward to providing additional updates after February break." Bach's full letter can be found here. Christopher Huffaker can be reached at 412-265-8353 or [email protected].
