The Whatcom County Softball Umpires Association is now recruiting for new umpires OF ALL AGES. We supply umpires for rec ball, middle school, and high school slow and fast pitch softball in Whatcom County. It doesn't matter if you have never officiated sports before or if you have some experience at officiating sports and/or have played softball then you should check this out. It's part time and you get to choose when you want to be available for games. You may work as many or as few games as you'd like. Training is free, covering rules and field mechanics. Umpires will need to purchase their own uniform and gear. Since we supply umpires for softball games with players 10 years old and up, we encourage men and women of all ages to join us. NEXT STEP: Our new umpire information session is planned via Zoom for February 17th @ 7:00pm. If you are interested and would like to learn more, attend the Zoom session.
