Entry level position at Charleston's premier boatyard Plenty of room for advancement Training provided Experience a plus but not necessary Competitive Pay (commensurate with experience) Fun working environment Benefits and bonuses Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Assists Yard Crew Leader to place straps to lift and remove a variety of boats from the water for blocking and to return to the water; to block boats by positioning stands under boats to allow owners and vendors safe and efficient access to boat for repairs and maintenance. • Operates forklift as necessary. • Operates Marine Travel Lift to remove a variety of boats from the water for blocking and to return to the water. • Operates pressure washer to clean vessels. • Cleans and maintain boatyard grounds MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of or desire to learn: • Boatyard, operations, policies and procedures. • Customer service standards and protocols. • Basic construction, hull configuration, maintenance and operation of sail and power boats. • Heavy equipment operation. • Workplace safety and security. • Boat painting, sanding and maintenance Reply with resume and salary history
