Serious inquires only please.*** POSITION: We're looking to hire a part-time Homewatch Inspector to be part of our family business to assist in servicing our clients in the Bonita Springs, Bonita Beach, Estero, and North Naples areas. This position would be great for someone that is looking to supplement their income, and not as someone's only source of income. That is why I find it works well for someone that's retired or semi-retired. BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION: The homewatch inspector will be responsible for entering unoccupied properties (residential condos and homes) and completing homewatch inspections (looking for any issues such as ceiling damage, water leaks, mold, pest control issues, air conditioning not working, signs of vandalism, etc.). During each homewatch inspection, a Homewatch Inspection Report (using an iPad) must be completed and submitted to office. Some of the other client requested services would include giving access to vendors, closing down properties, hurricane storm prepping, post storm checks, and on occasion changing smoke detector batteries, connecting vehicle battery maintainers, and moving some patio furniture. What we do is not difficult at all. However, you will be working on your own and entering our clients' homes and so honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, reliability, and consistency are an absolute MUST! WORK SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION: • This is part-time position. • Estimated 6 to 16 homewatch inspection days per month for 10 months of the year (April thru January). • Estimated 4 to 6 homewatch inspection days per month for 2 months of the year (February thru March). • Our busiest months of the year are June through October. • Inspector will be paid a set percentage of all work (inspections, services, etc.) completed. It essentially works out to an estimated $20 per hour. • We find that paying a set percentage of all work completed instead of hourly works best, because the inspector doesn't have to be tied to a 40 hour work week. Instead the inspector can complete their scheduled work for the day or week and then go about their own personal schedule for the rest of the day or week. • All homewatch inspections can only be completed on set inspection days (M-F between 8 AM - 5 PM). No inspections are completed after business hours or on weekends. An average part-time paycheck: • Working 6 days (10 inspections per day / estimated 5 hours each day) is an estimated $600. • Working 10 days (15 inspections per day / estimated 7 hours each day) is an estimated $1,400. • Depending on how many days worked and services completed, an estimated check would typically be between $450 to $2,200. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. Looking for a mature individual, preferably someone that is retired or semi-retired and has a flexible schedule. 2. Must live in Bonita Springs or Estero. 3. Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Test. 4. Must be able to work by yourself without having to be micro-managed. 5. Must be honest, trustworthy, reliable, and display integrity. 6. Must be detail oriented. 7. Must have good communication skills and a healthy response time when communicating. 8. Must have good writing skills (grammar/spelling/punctuation/legibility). The reports we submit to our clients should be communicated professionally. 9. Must be able to use a computer, smartphone, and iPad to be able to complete Inspection Reports. 10. Must have your own vehicle transportation in good working condition and proof of proper auto insurance. 11. Must be comfortable having to occasionally climb a 12' ladder to change a smoke alarm battery if needed. 12. Job includes walking the exterior perimeter of homes in our hot Florida summer...and you could occasionally get rained on. 13. Will be given an estimated 6 to 16 homewatch inspection days per month (April thru January) and 4 to 6 homewatch inspection days per month for 2 months of the year (February thru March). 14. Inspector will be paid a set percentage of all work (inspections, services, etc.) completed. 15. Payment from work completed will be issued once per month. - There is a lot of trust extended to anyone we bring on board, so we take hiring someone new very seriously. - Candidate MUST live in Bonita Springs or Estero. This is because of where our properties are located.
