Hudson County Coronavirus Vaccination Site List: Weekly Update

This story was updated at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey has been steadily expanding the number of publicly listed COVID-19 vaccination sites. Besides registering for an appointment on the state's hub for any of the state's six megasites, the state has been updating its list of county and local sites, and even including some pharmacies (see list below). In addition, residents can try to find an appointment at their own local pharmacy, hospital, medical office, and in some cases, via their community's own vaccination signup list. This past week, the CVS and Rite Aid pharmacy chains announced that some of their locations would have vaccines: On Friday, some Rite Aid sites were listed to the state website for each county (see the three Rite Aid sites that were just added to the Hudson County list below).CVS updated their available NJ locations on both Thursday and Friday morning after 6:30 a.m., so it may be worth checking each morning. New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said the state plans to increase the number of vaccination sites beyond 300. State officials have said the goal is to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population by the spring. New Jersey has created a county-by-county vaccine hub that reports the number of immunizations across the state. Presently, the state's sites are vaccinating people in the 1A and 1B groups, including certain essential workers, seniors over 65, and people 16-65 with chronic medical conditions. Find out if you qualify by clicking this link. The state added a qualifier recently: "Vaccination phases are tentative and subject to change. The movement between vaccination eligibility phases may be fluid. One phase may overlap with another. Not all individuals in each phase will be vaccinated before opening to additional groups, and not all groups within a specific phase will be made eligible to receive the vaccine at the same time." Here are the currently listed public vaccine sites in Hudson County (including 5 new sites this week). Many have their own websites to sign up. And as noted, your local pharmacies, medical offices, and other providers may have their own sites. Most of these sites are currently only vaccinating people 18 and up, so double check before heading over.
