About Us: Mental Yogis is an LA-based nonprofit organization founded to improve the community's mental health through yoga. We work to fulfill this mission in two ways. The first is by making yoga accessible to all through our donation-based classes. The second is by donating class proceeds to local and national mental health organizations. This dual approach enables us to positively impact our communities mental health at both the micro and macro level. Mental Yogis is founded and operated by Harrison Mintz. Harrison struggled with mental health issues throughout his entire life. During the initial COVID-lockdown Harrison deepened his personal practice and discovered powerful ability of yoga to support mental wellness. This led to his current path as a teacher. Harrison teaches asana classes that are a blend of Vinyasa Flow and Yin. He also enjoys incorporating HIIT movements in his sequences. He emphasizes direct language, expert adjustments, and a high level of passion that make the practice accessible, challenging, and fun for students of all levels.
