ELMHURST, IL — For the third week in a row, Elmhurst set another low in new coronavirus cases since the beginning of the crisis. As of Sunday, the city saw 29 new coronavirus cases in the last week, or an increase of eight-tenths of 1 percent, for a total of 3,611. That is down from the previous week's hike of 1.4 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst increased by one over the last week, to 59. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.6 percent.
